Merry Christmas!

December was packed with activities, and while busy, was a terrific Christmas season. Here's a few photos to highlite.

Lots of Christmas books with the boys.

Charlie's as big a ladies-man as T.

Our small group get together.

Tommy flirting with Rebecca.

Most of the troop packed in our front room.

The smartest ladies find the Bakker charm irresistible...

Patrick finished an introductory karate class - this is graduation (and marketing - invite your grandparents!).

It seemed like a great class that Patrick really enjoyed. There was a fair amount f homework required to graduate, involving chores at home and good behavior.

The joint was packed way beyond fire Marshall approved limits, and got really warm and uncomfortable. Little guys started to get antsy.

I got to hold the board that Patrick smashed with a karate punch.

A family favorite - zoo lights! It was a really pleasant evening - not too cold as years past.

A rare moment - Charlie spontaneously fell asleep in his jumper.

Our handsome little guy is growing up fast! He's tuned into big-people food all of a sudden and does a great job on bread, crackers, green beans, bananas, and beverages thru straws. We're looking forward to his first teeth any day now.

Sorry tommy, I know you'll hate these when you're older, but mom & dad love your "santa's little helper" elf pjs.

Complete with "belt" and "shoes", they're freakin cute.

Christmas eve, excited out of his mind.

Helping Charlie.

Big C, tasting his new toy.

Christmas day, at the Victorian mansion.

Uncle Alan had lots of little helpers handing out presents.

Uncle Alan with his new sneakers and masculine beauty product.

Clothes are a big part of Christmas at the Edwards. I get about as excited as Patrick looks here.

Pat's Victorian tux is now complete. I think he's secretly steampunk...

And just today, a new tradition was started. The incineration of the Christmas tree...

Where have we been?

As any family with little children knows, life is busy, but life in December is nuts. The last month has been filled with all sorts of family outings to see lights, make gingerbread houses, decorate our house, Christmas shop, visit family, and party with friends. This all poses a challenge to blogging, as I'm capable of very little in the 30-60 minutes of "no children" time at the end of the night.

I did try to keep everyone updated a couple weeks ago, but discovered I'd filled my allotted 1gb of free space on my google account. Those closest to me know that the real hindrance to blogging since has been the need to cough up $2.50/month for additional digital storage... Once I fill another 25gb, I'm sure they'll be asking for more money, and I'll be screaming at kids to get off my lawn. I know at least on of you knows where I'm coming from.

However, I have returned to my faithful 4-6 followers. Here's a quick recap of November.

My folks came up or Thanksgiving. Mom worked her sewing magic an fixed all the toes in t-guys pjs. Dad came on a walk to the park.

Pat & Chris hosted a terrific feast at their Victorian home.

Charlie enjoyed lots of attention.

We got our tree that same weekend. Dad actually agreed to strap it to the roof of his car!

A little trimming...

We took mom to the temple square lights - gorgeous!

Tommy willingly took pictures with grandma & grandpa for the first time too.
