Well, we managed to finish the bedroom in time for company. The colors don't capture well in a photo, but look terrific - dark navy, gray, and white trim. We're at it again in the basement family room, uncovering a nice fireplace we knew was in the wall and repairing some water damage under the window. I have a chimney sweep coming next week for a cleaning and inspection, and will run gas for a gas log. I'm also plumbing some conduit in the wall for tv cabling, and adding some additional lighting. I think we'll finish the fireplace in reclaimed brick and traditional mantel. The clock is ticking again with company coming for Thanksgiving - here we go...
